TDOE: Deadline to Submit Intent to Participate in Dual Credit

Audience: Directors of Schools, Secondary Supervisors, High School  Administrators and Counselors
Contact: Early.Postsecondary@tn.gov

The department is excited to continue the Statewide Dual Credit program for the 2017-18 school year, including adding one new course, American History. A statewide dual credit course is a high school course aligned to Tennessee postsecondary standards and includes a challenge exam developed by Tennessee secondary and postsecondary faculty. Students who pass the exam earn college credits that are accepted by all Tennessee public postsecondary institutions. More information is available here.

If your school would like to participate in the program during the 2017-18 school year, please submit the Intent to Participate form (here) no later than Tuesday, Feb. 28. After submitting the Intent to Participate form by the deadline, schools will be asked to submit a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to confirm participation for each statewide dual credit course.
