Networking Breakfast A light breakfast will be provided and table time to visit with fellow school leaders.
8:00-8:45 Dr. Charlotte Fisher from Tipton County Schools
8:45-9:30 Preston Caldwell from Lake County Schools will discuss how Lake County Schools have implemented a new initiative to combat poor attendance and/or chronic absenteeism. This initiative began during a strategic planning session, while writing our district/school improvement plans. During the meeting, it became apparent to our team that absenteeism would be a top priority. PLC's, attendance rewards, 85% attendance rule, supportive judicial system, and supportive school board are some of the entities for building our best practices. While we have not "fixed" attendance issues, we feel that we are well on our way.
