Having difficult conversations with teachers and other members of your team is one of the most challenging, risky, and necessary acts of leadership a school or district leader can engage in. Often times, whether and how we have these conversations has significant impact on student growth and achievement as well as the professional culture of our schools and districts.
Please join us to learn more about what difficult conversations consist of, what makes them so difficult, why we avoid them, and how to plan for difficult conversations with adult professionals to be successful learning conversations that lead to better outcomes for educators and students.
We will explore participants' experiences with difficult conversations as well as a wealth of relevant resources from the fields of organizational change management, human development/social psychology, and educational leadership.
Each participant will leave the session with a clear plan of action for having a specific difficult conversation and tools and frameworks they can apply to future conversations with adults that will be challenging.
ATTENDEES WILL RECEIVE TASL CREDIT FOR THIS EVENT!
