Rachel Suppé, Assistant General Counsel for Civil Rights and Special Populations at Tennessee Department of Education, Leads TOSS ALI 504 for Leaders Training
This year, one of your top 5 requests was to have more extensive training on the topic “ 504 for Leaders”. We have planned three days of training with Rachel E Suppé, on December 3rd, 5th, and 11th. These events, held in each grand division of our state, will be focused on your detailed requests to learn how to better serve your current and potential 504 learners.
Possible topics to be covered in the morning session include:
Eligibility Determinations
Available Resources
504 Law
504 vs. IEP - Determining the most appropriate plan
Addressing attendance in the 504 plan
How does one enter and exit 504 classification
The first two hours will be a presentation from Rachel E Suppé and then we will break for lunch and finish the last two hours digging in to actual/possible scenarios that you and your table teams can work through with support.
This is THE event to attend if you work with students in any capacity and want to know more about 504.
***4 Hours of TASL Credits will be given***
