Empowering School-level Teams through Data and Planning

After working closely with the Tennessee Department of Education, we are pleased to announce three days of training for our school and system leaders entitled “Empowering School-level Teams through Data and Planning”. This event will help each attendee communicate effectively with their school-level teams. We want to bring the planning process to life for all school level leaders.

PLEASE NOTE: All attendees must bring a computer and have access to InformTN

Presenters: Deborah Thompson – Director of Planning TDOE and assigned regional consultants

Guest Speaker: Mr. Jeff Yawn - Supervisor, Sumner County

Introduction:

  • Why do we plan?

  • We will review our state’s planning tool and do a “high-level” look at its features.

  • Review of the Data we use:

  • Where does it come from?

  • How can you as a school or system leader report your student and school data most effectively?

  • How do you report it?  

  • Analyze Data using InformTN - “deep dive” using the tool

  •  Analyze Needs

  • Best understand your strengths and areas to strengthen

  • Deep dive in InformTN and see how it can help you lead and   communicate with your team.

  • Takeaways & how to have these conversations with stakeholder

This training will receive 7 hours of TASL credit.
