TOSS ALI & Gold Partner, NIET | National Institute for Excellence in Teaching, will be teaching a one-day session, that will focus on strategies that principal and district staff can use to support a greater emphasis on student ownership. 

Here are the three objectives that will be presented:

a.  Know … Define student ownership and analyze instruction for key elements that define student ownership of their learning

b.  Understand … Identify the structures and practices that support student ownership and achievement

i. Students-differentiation

ii. Teachers--PLCs

iii. Coaches and Admin--Leadership team and school planning

iv. District--thought-partnership

c.  Do … Determine action steps to strengthen principal and teacher capacity and align district support, so that it transfers into classroom practice and impacts student achievement
