Assistant Superintendents will continue their networking events this fall on November 19th with a virtual meeting.

The group will reconnect and discuss building strong teams and communicating a shared vision.

All assistant superintendents are welcome to attend. We will have time to share, learn, and plan together.

Guest Speakers:

Dr. Jarrod Adams, Assistant Director of Schools, Materials and Operations.  He oversees the HR department, textbooks, bids, 504, athletics, transportation, public relations, and communications.

Dr. Jimmy Sullivan, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction He oversees all areas related to curriculum and instruction for over 47000 students at 49 different sites.  These areas include, instructional effectiveness, curriculum selection and development, the PLC process, data and accountability, ESL, SPED, CTE, Instructional Technology, Attendance, and Federal Programs.

Dr. April Norris, Deputy Director of Schools. In this position, she oversees operational departments and programs within the school system, such as: after school programming, alternative programs, attendance, daycare, enrollment, maintenance, personnel, safety, transportation, etc. Additionally, she serve in the absence of the Director of Schools as a designated Chief Executive Officer of the district of all assigned areas and daily operations of the school system.
