April 5th (Session 1): Shifting Our Language and Expectations to Student Ownership
In this session, participants will articulate how student ownership is a difference maker in maximizing student outcomes and examine how levels of student engagement impact a student's role in the classroom. Participants will also plan for how to transition from engagement to ownership and examine content knowledge look-for tools in order to identify opportunities to build student ownership.
April 7 (Session 2): Shifting Our Collaboration and Professional Development to Support Student Ownership
In this session, participants will examine an approach for supporting teachers in elevating student ownership, identify strategies to support student ownership within PLC/cluster meetings, and analyze a long-range plan for evidence of teacher collaboration and professional development that increases student ownership.
***MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS TO RECEIVE 8 TASL CREDITS***
