TOSS & NIET Team Institute

We’ve been fortunate to collaborate with NIET again this year on another wonderful  learning event.  While it is not technically a TOSS Leadership Institute event,  it is such timely and high quality training we wanted you to be aware of it. Please note that this session is also for instructional coaches.

The National Institute for Excellence in Teaching is pleased to offer one-day regional trainings in Knoxville, Nashville, and Memphis where participants will learn how to create a culture of thinking that increases student achievement significantly.  Participants will also understand how strategically planning for the different types of thinking has a direct impact on student learning of a skill.  In this multi-faceted professional development opportunity, instructional coaches and school administrators will continue to develop their coaching skills to impact teachers and students at all proficiency levels.

Research shows that teachers who receive focused and relevant coaching are more likely to implement best practices in the classroom as compared with teachers who do not receive coaching.  The impact of instructional coaches is heightened as they continue to deepen their own understanding of specific best practices embedded in the TEAM rubric.

Additionally, participants will be eligible for 7 hours of TASL credit or 1 day of CEO credit.  Registration for the one day workshop is $115 and can be completed online by clicking on the links below:
