Streamlining Your School Safety Plan

Like everything else in education, school safety continues to evolve with best practices now being identified. To help ensure our schools stay ahead of the curve, TOSS has partnered with NaviGate Prepared, a company offering leading edge technology designed to support school safety preparedness efforts throughout your district.

Across the state in early October, Navigate Prepared will present current school safety best practices. You will leave the session with action steps and a free resource you can readily implement in your own district.

One of the tools offered by Navigate Prepared  is theSafety Plan Wizard which breaks down a safety plan into a series of questions, thus reducing complexities and streamlining creation of a school safety plan. NaviGate Prepared created the Safety Plan Wizard based on the new Tennessee School Safety Plan and is providing it to all Tennessee schools at no cost. This and other opportunities with NaviGate Prepared will also be shared.

This SLI event is for superintendents or designees. Superintendents will receive 3 hours of CEO credit.  You may bring a small team of appropriate ALI members with you.

Later in the school year TOSS, in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Education, will offer training days for system teams on the Tennessee School Safety Plan and template.
