Developing Pedagogical Leaders - Middle

  • Murfreesboro City School District 2552 S Church St Murfreesboro, TN 37127 (map)

You will want to bring a team to this special event sponsored by TOSS Platinum Partner Cambridge Assessment, a department of Cambridge University.  With you as the team lead, the instructional supervisor, chief academic officer, professional development director, and a principal would make an ideal team.

Session Learning Outcomes:

  • To create a clear link between your own educational values, those of the communities you serve and the values in your mission statement.
  • To develop an outline framework for a coherent professional development offer.
  • To understand the skills needed to design an impact measurement tool
  • To prepare an action plan which incorporates new learning and represents school contexts.

It is recognized that, without effective leadership, the teaching staff of a school cannot achieve and sustain high-quality outcomes for all students, and this workshop addresses the challenge of achieving such leadership. Principals occupy an influential position in society and shape the teaching profession. They are lead professionals and significant role models within the communities they serve. The values and ambitions of principals determine the achievements of schools. Through exploring educational values, professional development models and impact measurement you will be able to effectively review the strength of leadership, make informed decisions on skills gaps and support the governance responsibility and accountability of leadership management.
