Know Your Options
School Leaders,This short session, Know Your Options, is both TIMELY and TIME SENSITIVE!
It is critical that you “Know Your Options” when it comes to college entrance examinations. SAT can be and should be a viable option for many Tennessee students.
Join TOSS and Jim Morris from The College Board for a brief (less than two hours) informational session on the advantages of the SAT.
The session will cover:
- 1) Confirming and defining Choice option for TN schools/districts
- 2) Understanding the content of the redesigned SAT, including links to PSAT and AP
- 3) How the Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy can lead to immediate score improvement for students and schools. Here is a video on how one student increased her SAT score by 340 points on her SAT retake. For those in TN that do not yet understand the SAT score scale, a 340 point increase on the SAT equates to approx. 9 points on the ACT!
- 4) Accessing actionable information on the SAT data portal, including reports that include performance against Tennessee State Standards.
For convenience these sessions are being conducted in conjunction with another ALI event, Using Real Time Data. Please register separately for each and there is no expectation that if you attend one, that you must stay for the other. The SAT portion will not accrue TASL credit.
