This session will provide supervisors and principals the opportunity to explore "Teacher Leaders" and how these leaders can be used in their schools to support academic programs while helping reduce teacher stress. Principals and Supervisors will have time to briefly review the Accountability Model, The Evaluation Enhancement Act, and toask questions as the group discusses what these changes mean for their schools. Those in attendance will see an example ofwhat one system has done to help Lead Teachers support classroom teachers as they encourage student learning. The program focus will be on how Teacher Leaders cansupport the state'sincreased level of rigor in our standards and how administrators can help set and implement high expectations for ALL.

·       Showcase the use of teacher leaders to support professional learning
·       Share examples of professional learning modules created by Teacher Leaders
·       Outline options for Teacher Leaders to support the success of students and teachers on the TNReady Assessments and ACT 21
