TCAT 101: Postsecondary Technical Education in Tennessee - October 19, 2021 (8:30am-12:30pm CST)

This session will introduce or re-introduce the participant to the Tennessee College’s of Applied Technology. Topics covered include an overview of:

  • the TCAT program academic structure;

  • technical education accreditation requirements;

  • what makes a student successful at a TCAT;

  • how TCAT’s support workforce development in Tennessee;

  • the TCAT waitlist issue.

Highlights of the session may include a panel of TCAT Presidents from each grand division of the state, a visit with the THEC Senior Director of Workforce and Economic Development, a panel of TCAT faculty members, and an overview of the TCAT application process.
