AASA: 2015 Superintendent of the Year White Pages

This week the Superintendent of the Year Forum White paper was released. The publication, Leadership for Change, endeavors to summarize the essential elements of the Superintendent of the Year forum, while emphasizing the imperatives for action by those individuals who are leading our Nation’s school district.

SUPERINTENDENT SPOTLIGHT: Dr. Danny Weeks (Dickson County)

TOSS is excited to announce that our February Superintendent Spotlight is Dr. Danny Weeks. He has served as the Director of Dickson County Schools for nearly four years.

When asked what he was most proud of about his district, Dr. Weeks listed the focus on academics in their schools and the support from their community. These are both vital to the success the Dickson County School district has experienced.

Dr. Weeks stated that his favorite part of his job and what keeps him coming back everyday is "fulfilling a calling to make a difference in the lives of those we come in contact with each day, students and staff."
