Procedures and Programming: Meeting the needs of students with disabilities in 2020 - Oct. 1 & 2 (9:00 am - 11:00 am CDT)

Join TOSS ALI and representatives from the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE)

October, 1st & 2nd (9:00-11:00 AM CDT)

This (2 Part) presentation will focus on re-opening strategies from the special populations reopening toolkit that are specifically targeted toward providing meaningful educational opportunities and services to our special populations. While tasked with forward-thinking about safety and logistics, schools must also prioritize equity while developing their operational structures and programming for all students, including students with disabilities and English learners. The questions and considerations in this presentation are intended to be a guide for districts as they make plans to support all learners.

Speakers:

Theresa Nicholls, Ed.S., Assistant Commissioner Special Populations, TDOE

Rachel Suppé, Assistant General Counsel for Civil Rights and Special Populations, TDOE

***This series has been approved for 4 TASL credits - MUST attend both sessions (Oct. 1st & 2nd) to receive TASL Credits***
