Mathew first presented to TOSS ALI members in Middle Tennessee in 2016 as a part of our ‘best practices’ networking events, and since then he has travelled the world sharing his work.. Mathew will be our keynote presenter. He is returning to us for very special training of Trauma and Leading Learning in 2021 and Beyond by popular request. Dr. Portell has dedicated over a decade to education in his role as a teacher, instructional coach, teacher mentor, and school administrator and a man who chooses to live and practice what he preaches. Mathew has created an environment that allows both students and teachers to excel and grow.
Dr. Monica Coverson, Director of Social Work, Trauma Informed Schools & TN Safe Schools, who has over 20 years of social work experience in the areas of social services and school social work will be introduced to our ALI membership. She is certified as a bullying prevention facilitator, McGrath Bullying Intake and Investigation facilitator, and as an Adverse Childhood Experiences facilitator.
